LILLIBROOKE MANOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHy

“Oh goodness, we don’t even know where to begin! Every single photo is just perfect. When we looked into photographers we wanted someone to capture every moment, all in secret- We don’t think we could have asked for a better outcome. Every emotion, feeling, stress, laugh, dance, tequila shot and most importantly, love has been captured perfectly. We thought we wouldn’t be able to relive the feeling of the day but we just have. The day has been bottled up beautifully!!”

Milly and Jonny got married at the gorgeous Lillibrooke Manor, Berkshire in August. We make no secret that it is one of our favourite venues and love it every time we return!

Getting Ready

Milly got ready at her mum and dad’s house with her bridesmaids. The morning had such a relaxed vibe and you could tell Milly just couldn't wait to get to the venue to marry her man! The morning flew by and it was soon time to hop onto the vintage bus and head to Lillibrooke Manor.

Jonny got ready at Lillibrooke in the cottage room with his Best Man and Ushers. Rich documented from tying the ties to the inevitable swigg out of the hip flask to calm those pre ceremony nerves! Jonny then made his way over to the ceremony room where he greeted their guests who were all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the gorgeous Milly!

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the small barn at Lillibrooke. The ceremony area looked beautiful thanks to the magic of M+J's Florist, The Flower Boutique. The ceremony began with lots of smiles and a few happy tears which is the dream for all us Photographers! It was a romantic ceremony full of excited hand squeezes, a few tears and so much love.

After the ceremony, we did some family photos, which ended up being a bit of a battle with the sun as we awaited some cloud cover - we got there in the end though! We then grabbed some candid shots of guests enjoying their drinks and canapes.

The Details

Milly + Jonny opted for banquette style tables instead of round ones. It gave the room such an intimate feel and we have to say we were big fans! A lot of effort went into all the details for the tables and it came together just perfectly.

The party

After a set of wonderful speeches, we headed outside for some portraits and then were joined by the bridesmaids and groomsmen for some fun informal group shots - we love these!

After some evening confetti throwing it was onto the dancefloor. It was packed from the moment the first dance finished until the very last song. The Sonics were amazing and ensured everyone was up dancing!

The evening ended with Milly up on a chair in the middle of the dancefloor singing the 'Dancing Queen' by Abba surrounded by family and friends joining in with the rendition. Not only was it a highlight of M+J's wedding, it was probably one of our favourite moments of 2019! The whole wedding was totally epic and it was an absolute joy to be there to document it.

Words of advice!

“Make as much of it as you can. I know that sounds very opposite to the norm but when you see everything you’ve designed/created/made on the day come together it is pure magic. We made the table numbers, place names, invitations, table plan, confetti, flower hoops, any signs and chalk boards, order of the day and the list goes on!! When you’re doing it, it does feel endless, but because it’s your vision, it’s very much worth it. It’s made even better when people say how lovely and matching everything looks too!”
